A little about me…

Toby Perkins, the incumbent tribal legislator serving the people of Pontotoc District, believes “Serving as your legislator is a great honor, and it is a privilege to make a real and positive impact on the lives of our Chickasaw people.”

Toby also works as director of strategic partnerships at PPLSI in Ada. He has been with the company since 1999. Prior to joining PPLSI, Toby worked as a safety officer and field technician at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Robert S. Kerr Groundwater Research Laboratory in Ada.

The Perkins family moved to Mustang, Oklahoma, in 1978 where Toby’s mother taught eighth grade English. From a young age, education was a priority of his life, and in 1986 he graduated from Mustang High School. From there he attended Oklahoma State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and an associate’s degree in occupational health and safety.

Toby Perkins has 15 years of service on the Board of Directors for the Ada Regional United Way. He assisted with United Way fundraising and helped direct resources to community agencies including the Boys & Girls Club of Ada, Family Crisis Center, Ada Youth Shelter and Ada Homeless Services. He and his wife, Alesha, are active members of Ada First Baptist Church, where Toby serves as a Chairman of the Stewardship Committee and helps lead the Safety Committee.

I understand the needs and will continue to work hard to serve all Chickasaw citizens, those who live within the Nation’s boundaries as well as those who live across the United States.
